After a 13 year Premier League career Daniel Sturridge looks set to end a summer of speculation completing a move to Turkish Süper Lig outfit Trabzonspor.
The former Liverpool, West Brom, Bolton, Chelsea and Manchester City striker was looking for a new home after being released from Anfield following his second Champions League win and the expiration of his Liverpool contract.
Sturridge had a tumultuous summer following a £75,000 fine and two week ban from football after being found guilty of breaching betting rules for reportedly advising a family member to bet on a move to Spanish side Sevilla.
But now Turkey looks set to be Sturridge’s landing spot, joining fellow Englishmen Steven Caulker and Cameron Jerome in the Süper Lig.
Sturridge scored 110 goals in his 312 game Premier League career and notched eight goals in his 26 England appearances.
