In Group C, the Netherlands and Germany both won to move three points clear of Northern Ireland topping the group, with both teams ruining each other’s perfect records in their past meetings.
Gini Wijnaldum made in four goals in four games for the Netherlands, scoring two first-half goals in an away win in Belarus that finished 2-1 thanks to a Stanislau Dragun consolation.
While in Estonia, 10-man Germany bagged a 3-0 away win with an Ilkay Gundogan double and Timo Werner strike after Emre Can’s 14th minuted red card.
