Preston North End sit third in the Championship having scored more goals in the division than any team - and their chance conversion stats are through the roof!
Alex Neil's side remain unbeaten at Deepdale in 2019/20 and, with Daniel Johnson (7 goals and 4 assists) in fine fettle, they have scored an impressive 23 goals so far this season.
Perhaps more remarkable than their goalscoring record is the fact that Preston are converting almost one in two of the chances they are creating.
Although the likes of Fulham (74) and QPR (70) have created many more chances in the Championship this term, Preston have made the most of their openings: the Lilywhites scoring their 23 goals from just 49 chances.
Across the top four tiers, Preston are out on their own, in terms of the quality of their finishing. Their Championship peers Bristol City are the next most clinical side in 'The 92' - and the Robins (37%) have converted a full 10% fewer of their chances in 2019/20.
The Premier League's most ruthless finishers are perhaps surprising. Eddie Howe's Bournemouth have converted a remarkable 36% of their chances this season to lead the category ahead of more stellar names such as Liverpool and Manchester City (who both have a 34% chance conversion percentage).
In League One, Oxford (36%) lead the way in terms of efficiency in front of goal, while in League Two Cheltenham Town (also 36%) take the biscuit.
