Another scintillating weekend of football has ended and it’s Playmaker’s time to pick out the best goals scored. To say it was a difficult task this week would be an understatement…
Sam Baldock (Reading 2-1 Millwall)
Reading’s newfound form under Mark Bowen continues into this week, with Sam Baldock ensuring victory with a wonder of a strike. Worthy of a place in the Top Drawer.
Mo Eisa (Blackpool 4-3 Peterborough)
Another week, another three goals for Peterborough, and another Playmaker Top Drawer placement. This week Mo Eisa returns with another beauty which opened the scoring for Posh.
Matt Crooks (Gillingham 0-3 Rotherham)
The Millers’ progression up the table continues and this goal by Matt Crooks was the pick of the bunch from their 3-0 demolition of Gillingham away from home.
AJ Leitch-Smith (Morecambe 1-0 Leyton Orient)
The Shrimps are off the mark in their first game without Jim Bentley for nearly 10 years. A tight game was won by this spectacular effort that will give Morecambe fans hope of what is to come.
Jonny Smith (Oldham 2-2 Northampton)
Smith’s 89th minute strike was enough to earn Oldham a draw in this eventful League Two match. Definitely one to be remembered by the on-loan Bristol City winger.
