Danny Rowe's solo goal took Ipswich back to the top of League One as they beat Rochdale. Ethan Ebanks-Landell's goal for Shrewsbury was a blow for Peterborough closing the gap to the top two places in League One. And Portsmouth stopped Sol Campbell getting his first points as Southend manager.

          Rochdale 0-1 Ipswich Town

In a very even first-half, Rochdale were the better side, more confortable with the ball even though Ipswich hit the woodwork twice from set-pieces but didn't show their quality in open play.

In the beggining of second-half, Danny Rowe scored for the Blues giving them the lead. The hosts went to fight back and score an equaliser but Town showed more maturity and closed out the game. Ipswich went home with three important points to get them back to top of the League One after recent stumbles.

          Shrewsbury Town 1-0 Peterborough United

Shrewsbury didn't look afraid to play against a team who have scored 39 goals this season and displayed one of their best performances this season, with defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell gaving the home side lead right before half-time. Marcus Maddison had a big chance to level the game for Peterborough but missed from the penalty spot after a brilliant save by Joe Murphy.

The hosts were defensively superb and always looking dangerous up front and overall a deserved win against a Peterborough side who continue to rack up poor results despite their goal scoring exploits. The result moved Shrewsbury up to 11th in the table, two points outside the play-off places.

          Portsmouth 4-1 Southend United

John Marquis, a brace from Ellis Harrison and Marcus Harness allowed the Pompey to conquer their biggest league win this season against Southend. Brandon Goodship gave the Shrimpers hope with a goal on the 69th minute but Pompey moved to the 13th place in the table as Southend stay in relegation zone, a massive eight points away from safety.
