Watford have sacked head coach Quique Sanchez Flores after just 12 games and less than three months in charge in his second spell at the club.
Sanchez Flores was hired by the Hornets for the second time on September 7th, but after just one league win in 10, leaving Watford pinned to the bottom of the table, the clubs trigger-happy hierarchy acted again.
Quique Sanchez Flores' second spell at Watford:
Watford 2-2 Arsenal
Manchester City 8-0 Watford
Watford 2-1 Swansea (EFL Cup)
Wolves 2-0 Watford
Watford 0-0 Sheffield United
Tottenham 1-1 Watford
Watford 0-0 Bournemouth
Everton 2-0 Watford (EFL Cup)
Watford 1-2 Chelsea
Norwich 0-2 Watford
Watford 0-3 Burnley
Southampton 2-1 Watford
"Quique is a man of great integrity and it was clear how much he wanted to have a positive impact, but ultimately results have dictated our decision," said Hornets' Chairman & CEO Scott Duxbury.
"The appointment of a new Head Coach is imminent, and with nearly two-thirds of the season remaining, we will provide all the support necessary to make the coming months successful."
The strong belief is that Chris Hughton will take the reigns in due course, although the former Brighton, Norwich, Birmingham and Newcastle coach is going to have a tough task on his hands.
