Arsenal took a point away from a tough Carrow Road trip in Freddie Ljungberg’s first game as caretaker Gunners coach.
Norwich took the lead twice through Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantwell, who looked back to their early season best, but a double from Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stole a point that leaves Arsenal seven points from the top four, and Norwich four points from safety.
In a game characterised by poor defending that has interrupted both team’s seasons, Pukki and Cantwell both capitalised on sloppy marking by Arsenal’s defence, while Aubameyang had to retake a penalty and slot home from a chaotic corner.
And in Birmingham, two of the league’s most impressive sides played out a 1-1 draw after Lys Mousset had given Sheffield United a second minute lead against Wolves. The Frenchman had turned in George Baldock’s cross before two Wolves players linked up to level the game.
Matt Doherty nodded in from Raul Jimenez’ cross after the hour mark to keep Wolves a point ahead of Sheffield United in the Premier League table.
