Crystal Palace have signed Everton striker Cenk Tosun on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 28-year-old does not feature in new Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti's plans and has moved to Selhurst Park to try and pin down regular first-team football.

The Turkish striker signed for the Toffees in January 2018 when Sam Allardyce was in charge at Goodison Park - costing £27m from Besiktas. However, he has failed to establish himself, scoring 10 goals in 51 appearances for Everton in total.

A long-term admirer of Tosun, Palace boss Roy Hodgson has finally brought the forward to South London and chairman Steve Parish spoke of the Eagles delight at the loan deal.

"We're delighted to have secured Cenk's services," Parish said.

"We've enjoyed a great first half of the campaign and Cenk's arrival will bolster our squad as we push for a top-half Premier League finish. Cenk has a proven record as a goalscorer and we've admired him for some time."

Tosun goes straight into Palace's squad for their Premier League clash against Arsenal this Saturday.
