Aston Villa have completed a loan deal for former Liverpool and Spain keeper Pepe Reina.
The 37-year-old joins on loan from AC Milan for the rest of the season - and watched from the stands on Sunday as Villa lost 6-1 to Man City.
Villa were forced into action after England deputy Tom Heaton was ruled out with a knee injury for the rest of the season.
Reina made 394 appearances for Liverpool during his spell at Anfield. He then went on loan to Italian side Napoli before joining Bayern Munich.
Villa boss Dean Smith spoke of the importance of Reina's experience following the announcement of the deal.
"We've managed to secure a player in Pepe who has a wealth of Premier League experience," said Smith.
"At the start of the summer we were looking for an experienced goalkeeper and brought in Tom Heaton. Unfortunately, his injury has ruled him out for the rest of the season, but Pepe fits our criteria not just because of his experience but also because of his leadership qualities."
