Unluckily for some, 13 big chances have been missed by a group of five goalgetters so far this season - with around 28-30 games played across the EFL. However, the list below clearly shows that half the battle for strikers is gaining the yard they need to create a 'Big Chance' in the first place.
Only one of the quintet below has below 10 league goals this season and, as in the case of Ollie Watkins (Championship) and Ivan Toney (League One), some on the list top their respective goal charts at the moment.
The likes of Watkins, Grabban and Toney have been scoring regularly, so their missed chances haven't garnered much attention during the season so far.
However, when you look at players such as James Norwood and Sam Smith, their 'Big Chances' missed outnumber their goals scored. Both players obviously know where the net is (Norwood hit 30 League Two goals last season!), but a few extra chances converted from them would do wonders for their individual stats and, potentially, their sides' league points return.
