It's been a stormy winter - with Dennis set to pick up where Ciara left off - but a more enjoyable blizzard of Champions League football is on the horizon.

Mouthwatering clashes featuring Atletico Madrid, reigning champs Liverpool, PSG and Borussia Dortmund get the knockout stages of the competition underway next Tuesday, and we're ready to get stuck in!

Before we dive into the trivia, here's a quick sit-rep for the four Premier League teams to qualify for the last 16.

Liverpool: After conquering Europe for the sixth time in their history last season, Liverpool must fancy their chances again this season with English teams back in the ascendency after a period of Spanish predominance.

Standing in the way of a quarter-final spot are a very experienced Atletico Madrid side, managed by Diego Simeone, which has reached two European finals in the past decade, in 2014 and 2016. The Spaniards are not in the best of form, but if there's a manager who can stop a well-fancied team in its tracks, it's Simeone!

Tottenham: The next English team in action will be Spurs who play Bundesliga upstarts RB Leipzig. Jose Mourinho claimed in December that European giants would fear Tottenham come February, but Leipzig are a young, talented team challenging Bayern Munich at the top of the German top flight, and it is unlikely they will be overawed when they face last season's Champion's League runners-up. A tricky tie to predict this one.

Man City: Pep Guardiola's side have endured a tough season to date and their draw was inkeeping with their current campaign, as they face Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have won the competition in four of its last six editions, and - despite going through a transitional period under Zinedine Zidane - City will be packing their bags if they are not on form. A clash of the titans.

Chelsea: Frank Lampard's West Londoners also have their work cut out, as they take on Bundesliga juggernauts Bayern Munich. The words "Drogba" and "Chelsea" are prohibited around the Bavaria region after the Blues' Champions League final win in 2012, but the Germans will be targeting revenge, especially as Lampard - who played that day - will be making his managerial bow in the knockout stages of the competition.

Anyway, enough tittle-tattle! Let's get our quiz on. English teams have conquered 13 European Cup/Champions League titles - but can you name the vanquished opposition in all of those finals? Good Luck!

Note: one of the clubs (German, there's a hint) is more of a spelling challenge than a trivia challenge!
