Northampton Town destroyed 10-man Exeter City to win the League Two play-off final and clinch promotion to to the third tier at an empty Wembley.
The Cobblers took control from the off and took the lead when Ryan Watson's strike was deflected home after a long throw.
Forward Callum Morton doubled Northampton's advantage after a quickly-taken free-kick, as Exeter struggled to deal with their opponent's competitive, direct style.
Exeter's Dean Moxey was dismissed for a reckless challenge soon after the break to effectively end the Devon club's hopes of a comeback and late goals from Sam Hoskins and Andy Williams sealed a convincing win for Northampton.
Exeter have now lost in the play-offs for three of the past four seasons, while victors Northampton climb back to League One after two seasons in League Two.
