Son Heung-min scored and assisted in a 2-1 Spurs comeback win over Arsenal that leapfrogs Tottenham past their North London rivals and closer to European football.
A derby that’s been far from short of entertainment in recent years got off to a cracking start when Alexandre Lacazette rocketted home a long range shot after 15 minutes to give Arsenal the lead.
But it didn’t take long for Spurs to get back into the game, with an appalling pass back from Sead Kolašinac intercepted by Son, who bullied David Luiz off the ball before exquisitely dinking it over an onrushing Emiliano Martínez to level the match.
Martinez, substituting for the injured Bernd Leno, then made a save of the season contender when he tipped a wonder strike from Ben Davies on to the bar.
And the both goals got tested, as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang slammed an effort on to the woodwork, before drawing a fingertip save from Hugo Lloris.
And with nine minutes to play, Son was back in action, his corner glanced in by Toby Alderweireld for the game’s winner that lifts his Tottenham side over Arsenal and into eighth, two points ahead, and seven shy of the top four.
