Zenit St Petersburg have completed the signing of Dejan Lovren from Liverpool for £10.9m.
The 31-year-old Croatia defender made 10 Premier League appearances this season for champions Liverpool and joins the Russian club on a three-year contract.
Lovren helped the Reds win the Champions League in 2019, but had gradually fallen down the pecking order with Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez all preferred in central defence by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
Signed from Southampton for £20m in July 2014, Lovren made 131 Premier League appearances for Liverpool in total.
Capped 57 times by Croatia, Lovren helped his country reach the 2018 World Cup final where they lost 4-2 to France.
Reds manager Klopp said "another Liverpool legend" had left the club.
"He was absolutely a very, very important part of this team from the first day since I was in," added the German, who took charge in October 2015.
