Angel Gomes has signed for Lille following his departure from Manchester United last month - and will go immediately out on loan to Portuguese side Boavista.
The midfielder left Old Trafford on July 1 when his contract expired - after Gomes rejected a new deal to stay at the club who had nurtured him through their youth ranks.
A World Cup winner with England Under-17s in 2017, Gomes made his senior debut for United in May 2017 when - at 16 years and 263 days old - he became the youngest player to play for the Red Devils since Duncan Edwards.
However, opportunities have been limited for Gomes at Old Trafford with the young talent not making a single Premier League start in 2019/20.
Although former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was hopeful that Gomes would commit his future to United, Gomes has opted to embrace a new challenge and - after signing for Ligue 1 outfit Lille - he will spend next season on loan in Portugal.
