Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th international goal in Portugal's 2-0 Nations League win against Sweden on Tuesday night.
The Juventus forward notched a double: a first-half free kick bringing up his century before he added another spectacular effort after the break.
Ronaldo is only the second male footballer to reach the 100 goal milestone at international level and he is closing down on the record holder, Ali Daei, whose tally of 109 goals for Iran is now under threat.
The five-time Ballon D'Or winner’s first Portugal goal came in the opening game of Euro 2004 against Greece, and nearly half of his international goals have come since he passed the age of 30: 49 goals in 47 games.
