Substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the matchwinner as Arsenal flirted with defeat before coming from behind to record a 2-1 win against Rapid Austria.
The Gunners made the better start, with Thomas Partey making his full Arsenal debut, but struggled to break down the Austrian side and not many chances were created in the first-half.
Rapid Vienna took the lead when Bernd Leno gifted the ball to Vienna's Greek striker Taxiarchis Fountas who gratefully slotted into an empty net, with just five minutes gone in the second-half.
Mikel Arteta reacted quickly and brought Hector Bellerin and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang into the game.
The Gunners levelled through David Luiz, who headed home Nicolas Pepe’s free-kick in the 70th minute and to underline the impact of Arteta's substitutions the London club took the lead when Mohamed Elneny picked out Bellerin’s brilliant run in behind, and his ball across the six-yard box was tapped in by Aubameyang.
Arsenal held on for a 2-1 win and went top of Group B level with Molde who returned from Dundalk with a 2-1 win.
