The final shortlist for the 2020 FIFA The Best award has been revealed this morning, with five Premier League players making the list.
Liverpool are the most represented club with Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane, Virgil Van Dijk and Thiago Alcantara, who left Champions League winners Bayern Munich to join Liverpool in September. Kevin De Bruyne is the other player from the Premier League to make the shortlist.
Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski is the man best placed to get the award, after a superb season for the Bavarians, winning five trophies, including the Champions League and the Bundesliga.
The inevitables Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo also make the cut, as do PSG duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, who both played starring roles in PSG's run to the Champions League final.
A defender rounds off the 11-man shortlist: Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos who led 'Los Blancos' to their 34th La Liga title.
The ceremony for The Best FIFA Football awards is scheduled for 17 December 2020.
