Long time Bournemouth head coach, Eddie Howe, finally looks set to return to management, with Celtic finalising a deal for the 43-year-old this week.

Howe, who spent a massive seven-and-a-half years at Bournemouth between 2012-2020, took the Cherries from League One up to the Premier League, before departing last summer as their five-year top-flight stay came to an end.

Now though, the much sought-after Englishman appears to have made a decision on his next move, with Celtic winning the race for his signature as a remedy to their most disappointing season in a decade.

Celtic dismissed five-time league winning manager Neil Lennon in February as rivals Rangers closed in on a first title league title in 10 years, with Steven Gerrard’s side soon confirming the feat, a massive 20 points ahead in the title race.

Howe will be tasked with readdressing the balance next season, fixing a squad who fell well short of their expected target this campaign, and in doing so may quickly rebuild his reputation like Brendan Rodgers before him.
