Argentina win their first major trophy in 28 years and their 15th Copa America after a 1-0 win over Brazil at the Maracanã Stadium.
La Albiceleste opened the score midway through the first-half. Atletico Madrid defender Renan Lodi failed to cut out a long ball forward from Rodrigo De Paul, and Angel Di Maria lobbed Man City's goalkeeper Ederson to give the lead for Argentina.
Brazil put some pressure in the second-half to push for an equaliser but failed to test Aston Villa's shot-stopper Emiliano Martinez.
Argentina's manager Lionel Scaloni opted for a more defensive strategy in the second-hald and it paid off as the Argentina held on to their slender advantage, ultimately ending their dismal run of four losses in a row at Copa America finals.
Lionel Messi finally got his hands on an international title for his national team. The current free-agent was named player of the tournament - a prize he shared with Neymar - after his four goals helped Argentina lift the trophy.
