The EFL was underway once again this week with all of it's usual surprises, twists and turns and shock results across the three divisions...
WINNERS
Fulham: The West Londoners cruised past an in-from Stoke City side by 3-0 at Craven Cottage as the Championship joint top-scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic notched once again to send his side two point clear of West Brom at the top of the Championship table.
Sunderland: The Black cats were victorious at the Stadium of Light running out 3-1 winners over a good Wycombe side, as League 1 joint top scorer Ross Stewart bagged himself a brace to leapfrog his side two points clear of Sheffield Wednesday at the summit of League 1.
Swindon Town: The Robins were the only side in the top four in League 2 to win this weekend as they ran out 1-0 winners over Mansfield thanks to a goal courtesy from 19 year old striker Tyreece Simpson, who is on loan from League 1 side Ipswich Town. This win took Swindon into 4th position in League 2, just two points off Forest Green who lead the way in the division.
LOSERS
Blackpool: The tangeries have had a tough start to life back in the Championship and fell victims to a 2-1 defeat at the Den to fellow strugglers Millwall. A last minute goal from Jake Cooper settled the result in South London, leaving the visitors to fall into the Championship's bottom three, just one point off bottom of the table in 22nd place.
Doncaster Rovers: Rovers fell to the foot of the League 1 table this weekend as they suffered another defeat, this time away at the New York Stadium to Rotherham. A brace from Michael Smith now means Rovers are already 3 points off safety with just five games played of the season.
Sutton United: The League 2 new-comers were defeated 2-1 at home to the team above them in the relegation zone, Oldham. This result took Oldham above their fellow strugglers into 23rd position, leaving Sutton rooted to the foot of the Football League.
