Title-chasing Sheffield Wednesday came back from two goals down to rescue point in a 2-2 draw against Cheltenham at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium.

In the first half, the Robins had several opportunities to score, but David Stockdale made a series of impressive saves, stopping Alfie May's shots twice and Keena's attempt.

Just before the break, Luke Southwood managed to deflect Will Vaulks' long-range effort over the bar.

At the beginning of the second half, Michael Smith's shot was stopped by Southwood, who made a fantastic save just four minutes into the half.

However, in the 62nd minute, Cheltenham took the lead after Dominic Iorfa miskicked Will Ferry's delivery and the ball fell into the path of Aidan Keena, who buried his shot from close range.

In the 69th minute, May doubled Robins' lead, after Taylor Perry's low shot was only parried by Stockdale, allowing May to follow up and score.

Darren Moore's men reacted and pulled one back through Aden Flint, who managed to head in a fine cross from Barry Bannan, giving Wednesday hope.

Three minutes before the end of the match, Lee Gregory touched in the leveller, with Smith providing the assist from the right.

Wednesday had a chance to win the game in the final moments, with Vaulks hitting the post with the last kick of the game, missing the opportunity to go top of the league.

With this result, the Owls remain second, just a point behind Plymouth, while the Robins remain 17th in League One, nine points above the relegation zone.

Next up, Sheffield Wed. host Lincoln as Cheltenham will take on Burton at home with both games to be played on Saturday.
