Arsenal are through to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after defeating Liverpool on penalties after a goalless draw on a forgettable night at Anfield.
The match was riddled with missed chances from both sides, but Bernd Leno's excellent night for Arsenal between the sticks kept the Gunners in the match.
With 0-0 at the final the whistle, penalties were needed to separate the sides and Leno stopped Harry Wilson's effort during the shootout with Joe Willock then sealing the win in the last penalty.
The win at Anfield for the Gunners comes after they had lost to the hosts this past weekend in Premier League action, but on the other hand Arsenal have defeated Liverpool on penalties for the second time in two months, following August's Community Shield win at Wembley.
