The reigning champions of Saudi Arabia Al-Ittihad have officially announced the signing of Karim Benzema.
The Ballon d'Or winner has signed a three-year deal with the club.
In a surprising turn of events, the former French international decided to conclude his illustrious 14-year tenure at Real Madrid, despite initial expectations of an extension until 2024.
Departing as the second-highest scorer in the history of Real Madrid, Benzema leaves behind an impressive record of 354 goals in 648 matches.
Benzema's accomplishments in European football include four La Liga triumphs and five Champions League titles during his time at Real Madrid and four Ligue 1 crowns from his earlier days at Lyon.
Having achieved his desired goals in European competitions, the striker now embarks on a new chapter with Nuno Espirito Santo's team, as he prepares to spend the next three seasons at Al-Ittihad.
