Group H is hosting the big game in the Champions League opening, at Camp Nou, where European champion Barcelona is visited by AC Milan. Both teams will be hungrily seeking victory and protagonism at the Champions League match on Tuesday, as they failed to impress at both Italy Serie A and Spanish BBVA league where the two top teams achieved only a draw result: AC Milan 2-2 Lazio and Real Sociedad 2-2 FC Barcelona.
For Barcelona the mission is also to defend the title of European Champions and Pep Guardiola is well aware of that. Hence, the Spanish coach will have to do everything to make life difficult for the giant Italian team at Nou Camp tomorrow evening.
Barcelona's attacker Alexis Sanchez has suffered a harmstring injury and is confirmed by the team to be missing out the Champions League match against AC Milan.
On AC Milan's side, Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly acclaimed his team's attacking power, mentioning playmaker Ibrahimovic and showing confidence in the team's great potential to win the game in Barcelona: «Ibrahimovic is very important for us. Last season he did tremendous things, especially in the first half of the season.»
Despite recognising the difficulties AC Milan will face against the Spanish giant and trophy holders, Allegri trusts his team's technical skills and determination in winning: «They are a difficult side to play, but you have to try to give your best technically, tactically and physically.»
