Pep Guardiola is expected to leave Manchester City following the end of his contract according to reports.
Jamie Jackson of The Guardian has stated that despite the treble-winning manager signing a new deal with the Citizens back in November 2022, he is not expected to stay at the club any longer than that.
That would mean that City fans will have just two more seasons to enjoy Guardiola’s football at the Etihad Stadium with the chance – should they avoid sufficient punishment for 115 alleged Premier League breaches – of even further on-field success.
In the short-term, Guardiola is looking to continue City’s momentum with the manager hopeful to retain the services of Ilkay Gündogan who is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with a move to Barcelona.
