Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes has hinted at a potential exit from the Bundesliga side after his deal ends in the summer.
The 67-year-old who joined the Bavarians as a manager in 2011, replacing Louis van Gaal, reflected on the team’s improvement since he took charge, despite not winning silverware during two consecutive years.
“Never before in the history of the club [have] FC Bayern played a more modern and attractive kind of football,” Heynckes told reporters at a press conference in Doha.
“A trainer needs his time to implement his ideas and his way of playing football. I [have now been] at Bayern for one and a half years and I think we can now harvest the fruits.”
“Nothing will be changed regarding my work ethics, no matter what will happen in the summer," he concluded.”
Bayern Munich are currently isolated at the top of the Bundesliga table with an eight-point advantage over Bayer Leverkusen in the second place.
