Manchester United are the latest club to be linked with midfielder Maurits Kjaergaard according to reports from Austria.
If you believe what you read in the Salzburger Nachrichten, the Red Devils have been closely monitoring the 19-year-old who is currently plying his trade at Red Bull Salzburg.
Despite interest from other Premier League clubs, with Liverpool and Newcastle United having been associated with the player in the past, the Austrian outlet reckons that United could complete a deal for the player who has a contract until 2026. Kjaergaard has also been linked with at least three Serie A sides: AC Milan, Inter, and Roma.
Denmark U21 international Kjaergaard joined Salzburg in 2019 from Danish side Lyngby BK and has since gone on to play 59 times for the club, scoring six times, and becoming a regular starter for the Austrian side.
