Real Madrid secured their place in the Supercopa España final with a thrilling 5-3 victory in extra time against their city rivals Atletico Madrid in Saudi Arabia.
Atletico took an early lead with Mario Hermoso's goal in the seventh minute. However, Carlo Ancelotti's side responded with two quick goals from Antonio Rudiger and Ferland Mendy, leading at the half-hour mark.
Despite Real's great comeback, Diego Simeone's men equalised eight minutes before halftime through Antoine Griezmann.
A Rudiger own goal appeared to give Atletico the winner 12 minutes from the end, but Dani Carvajal's 85th-minute strike levelled the score, pushing the game into extra time.
In a dramatic turn of events, with penalties looming, Stefan Savic scored an own goal with four minutes remaining, and Brahim Diaz sealed the memorable victory with the final kick of the game.
Los Blancos will now face either Barcelona or Osasuna in Sunday’s final at the same ground in the Saudi Arabian capital.
