Arsenal defeated Derby County in a close win on Monday, 2x3, in the 23rd round. In this competition, Darren Wassall's team came from two wins, and Steve Bould's team came from a draw.
In the 40th minute, Cameron Cresswell opened the scoring for Derby County, from the penalty spot.
After 50 minutes, Kido Taylor-Hart struck for Arsenal. With 53 minutes on the clock, Josh Shonibare strucked the second goal for Derby's team, laid on by Tyree Wilson. With 70 minutes on the clock, Folarin Balogun fired home London's team's second goal, assisted by Trae Coyle. The luckless Joe Bateman scored an own goal after 83 minutes.
After the result Derby County is 6th in the table, 33 points, while Arsenal occupy 10th place, 25 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, London's team visit Leicester City, while Derby's team visit Brighton & Hove Albion.
