Rangers wins and overtakes Celtic

Rangers triumphed over Celtic, 2x0, on Sunday, in a match relating to the Last 16 of Scottish FA Cup. In this competition, both teams came from a win. In the starting XI there was Connor Goldson, Ryan Kent and Jonjoe Kenny. James Tavernier, Calvin Bassey and Jack Simpson didn't leave the bench.

The opening goal was scored by Steven Davis after 10 minutes. The luckless Jonjoe Kenny scored an own goal with 34 minutes on the clock.

After 79 minutes, Odsonne Édouard advanced to the penalty, but Allan McGregor defended. In the 80th minute, Kemar Roofe came on.

With this result, Rangers are through to the next round of the competition. In the next fixture, Steven Gerrard's team will host St. Johnstone.
