Lorient stumble to defeat against Marseille

Marseille overcame Lorient, 4x1, on Sunday, on matchday 10. Coming into the contest, Marseille's team came from two defeats, and Lorient's team came from two draws.

After 13 minutes, Armand Laurienté opened the scoring for Lorient, from the penalty spot. After 27 minutes, Boubacar Kamara fired home for Marseille, with a right-foot strike from outside the penalty box, laid on by Mattéo Guendouzi .

After 56 minutes, midfielder scored the second goal for Marseille's team, from a corner, assisted by Dimitri Payet. With 85 minutes on the clock, Arkadiusz Milik doubled the lead for Jorge Sampaoli's team, with a right-foot strike inside the box. In an unlucky moment Houboulang Mendes scored an own goal in time added on.

After the result Marseille are 2nd in the table, with 18 points, while Lorient sit 12th place, with 14 points. In the next fixture, Jorge Sampaoli's team will play at home against Paris SG. Meanwhile, Christophe Pélissier's team will play at home against Bordeaux.
