Brighton have signed midfielder Leandro Trossard from Genk for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old has joined the Seagulls on a four-year deal and becomes their second signing of the summer after capturing highly-rated centre-back Matt Clarke from Portsmouth.
Trossard was a serial loanee prior to securing a starting berth at Genk - going out on four loans. However, having established himself over recent seasons, he was in sparkling form as Genk won their first Belgian title in eight years last term.
In total, Trossard scored 22 goals in 47 appearances in 2018/19 and was even handed the captain's armband towards the end of the campaign.
Speaking about the transfer, Brighton manager Graham Potter said:
"We are delighted to welcome Leandro to the club and excited about the impact he can have for us.
"He's an attack-minded player who had a very impressive season last year in helping Genk win the league title.
"At 24, he also brings good experience, having captained the side and featured many times in the Europa League."
Yet to earn a senior call-up for Belgium, Trossard has been capped at under-16 to under-21 level.
