Ipswich Town sit proudly at the summit of League One - and their fast start to the 2019/2020 season suggests they could be there to stay.
The Blues' three wins and two draws have banished the hangover of relegation from the Championship, and their 5-0 thumping of crisis-hit Bolton last weekend gave further indication that they will be a force to be reckoned with this term.
Paul Lambert's side have hit more goals (11) than any League One side so far, and their front duo of James Norwood and Kayden Jackson has hit the ground running. Norwood and Jackson have hit seven goals in five games between them and their strike pairing has given the East Anglians a cutting edge that they sorely missed last season.
Perhaps even more pleasing for Lambert is that Ipswich have been opening teams up at will: their 36 chances created this season leading the way in the third tier.
Throw in the fact that Ipswich have had more shots on target (41) and won more challenges (555) than any of their League One peers this season and a sustained tilt at promotion looks a distinct possibility.
It's obviously early days, however, and Ipswich's credentials will be put to the test against Shrewsbury Town this weekend. The Shrews have lost just once in League One - and have only conceded three league goals this season; no team in the division has conceded fewer.
