One of the recent nominees for the Premier League 2 "Player of the Month" award, Everton attacking midfielder Antony Evans looks to be going places.
Evans has made a strong case for promotion to Marco Silva's first team over recent months: the talented 21-year-old contributing three goals and four assists in seven games for the reigning Premier League 2 champions this season.
He has also featured for the Toffees in the EFL Trophy - scoring in the recent 2-0 win over League One Burton Albion.
An impressive range of passing, the ability to drive at defenders and a clean striker of the ball in open play and from set-pieces, many onlookers are starting to wonder what such a burgeoning talent is still doing playing at Under-23 level - and the indications are that he will seek pastures new, either permanently or on loan in January.
Despite being well-regarded at Goodison Park, Evans has entered the final 12 months of his contract on Merseyside, and - with his path to the first team blocked by the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Andre Gomes, Alex Iwobi and Tom Davies - he will need to secure first-team senior football elsewhere.
Having already impressed in the lower leagues during loans at Morecambe and Blackpool, a permanent move to a Championship side may be on the cards - keep your eyes peeled!
