West Ham have agreed a £30 million deal for Brentford winger Saïd Benrahma according to Sky Sports, with the star of the Championship last season finally looking to end a summer of speculation.
English clubs have until the domestic transfer window deadline on Friday to conduct deals between them, and multiple reports suggest that West Ham are now in pole position for the Brentford man, who finished last season with 17 goals and eight assists in 43 games.
Brentford appeared unlikely to sell due to the club record fee of £33 million received from Aston Villa for Ollie Watkins constituting more than enough of a transfer income, but a figure close to that for Benrahma might be enough to change the club’s mind.
