Liverpool have been drawn to face Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals - with a potential semi-final clash against Chelsea on the line if Thomas Tuchel’s side can knock out Porto.
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, meanwhile, will play Borussia Dortmund in the last eight - with the eventual winners of that tie moving onto a semi-final humdinger against either Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain, who go head-to-head in arguably the most attractive quarter-final tie.
City’s clash with Dortmund means that striker Erling Haaland will play against his father, Alf-Inge's, former team - the prolific Dortmund striker reportedly viewed as a potential summer recruit by the Citizens.
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool may have revenge in mind after their Champions League final defeat to Madrid in 2018 - a bitter loss for which they atoned by winning the competition the following season. Previous to that victory over Spurs in 2019, Liverpool's last UCL success came against Milan in 2005 - when the final was held in Istanbul where it is due to be staged this season - after they had beaten Chelsea in the semi-finals.
Porto, Chelsea’s opponents in the last eight, are arguably the most unfancied left in the competition - but Thomas Tuchel's men will be wary of the Primeira Liga outfit following their impressive victory over Juventus in the last 16.
The quarter-final ties are scheduled for 6-7 and 13-14 April, with the semi-finals later that month and in early May.

PEP 💬 Dortmund is tough but all of them would've been. We try to play a good first game and then a good second game. If we do good games, we will go through, if they do good games they will. There are no more secrets than that.
