Former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has emerged as the frontrunner to take over at Crystal Palace, with the incumbent, Roy Hodgson, set to leave the club this summer.
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard was fired from his role at Stamford Bridge in January after a season-and-a-half in charge, following up on his top four finish last time out with a poor display this season.
Lampard has since been replaced by former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel who has guided Chelsea to the final of the Champions League and FA Cup, but that hasn’t deterred Palace, with the Telegraph reporting the 42-year-old has moved ahead of Eddie Howe in the running.
Current Palace boss Hodgson has made noises alluding to a potential departure throughout the course of the season, while retirement from the game may also be an option for the 73-year-old.
