Cristiano Ronaldo moved two goals clear at the top of the all-time European championship scoring charts, netting a brace in a late 3-0 win over Hungary at a full capacity Puskas Arena.
A game low on quality saw Diogo Jota, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Bruno Fernandes all try and fail to beat Peter Gulacsi in the Hungary net, before substitute Szabolcs Schon sent the stadium alight with what looked like a late winner, only to be denied by the offside flag.
Things got even worse for the Hungarian fans when a massively deflected Raphaël Guerreiro shot found its way past Gulacsi for an 84th-minute lead, before a soft penalty on Rafa Silva allowed Ronaldo to take the all-time Euros scoring record from the spot.
Ronaldo then made it a record 11 goals with a sublime stoppage-time goal, linking up with Rafa, exchanging multiple passes before dummying Gulacsi and slotting home.
