Scott Parker has left his role as Fulham manager by mutual consent after two full seasons at the club, relegated back to the Championship last month following promotion in his debut campaign.
Parker took over the already relegated Cottagers from Claudio Ranieri in 2019 at the tail end of their Premier League campaign and went on to impress with the side back in the Championship, earning promotion in the play-off final against rivals Brentford.
However, their return to the top flight was characterised by a terminal lack of goalscoring, leading to a swift relegation back to the second tier.
Multiple reports claim tensions began between the manager and ownership following the club’s relegation, with Parker now a certainty to take over from Jonathan Woodgate at Bournemouth.
Fulham’s Chairman Shahid Khan said in a statement: “Through promotion and relegation alike, Scott has always enjoyed my support as our Head Coach. Scott’s departure does nothing to shake my confidence, however. We will hire a new Head Coach who is capable of achieving our goal of promotion and will be committed to Fulham and its supporters. And we will field a squad that will respond, compete and win. Onward.”
