England have reached the semi-finals of their second consecutive major tournament, putting four goals past Ukraine during a comfortable win in Rome tonight.
England started how they ended their previous match against Germany, full of confidence, getting the ball out wide to Raheem Sterling who brilliantly dinked inside and cut out Ukraine’s defence, laying the ball on a plate for a Harry Kane opener.
The Three Lions sat back after their goal, rarely threatening to end the half, but started the second the way they began the first, with Harry Maguire heading in a Luke Shaw free kick with less than a minute played.
The game was soon over when Kane bagged his second, heading in all-alone from another Shaw cross.
Jordan Henderson finally managed his first England goal after 62 games, converting Mason Mount’s corner, filling the side with confidence ahead of their semi-final clash with Denmark at Wembley on Wednesday.
