The Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul will host the 2023 Champions League final after losing its spot to Portuguese stadiums for the past two seasons.

In 2020, Istanbul was set to host the headline event for the first time since Liverpool’s comeback win against AC Milan in 2005, but saw its spot given to Estádio da Luz in Lisbon due to the pandemic. The following year the 2021 final was then moved to Estádio do Dragão in Porto following Covid-19 related travel restrictions to Turkey.

Furthermore, the draws for the group stages of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League will all take place in Istanbul ahead of the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons.

The venues for the next four Champions League finals are as follows:

2022: Saint Petersburg Stadium, Saint Petersburg, Russia
2023: Atatürk Olympic Stadium, Istanbul, Turkey
2024: Wembley Stadium, London, England
2025: Fussball Arena München, Munich, Germany
