Norwegian centre back, Kristoffer Ajer, has completed a medical with newly-promoted Premier League side Brentford, ahead of a transfer from Celtic.
The 23-year-old defender became a regular for Norway in 2018, standing out in a line-up that features the likes of Erling Haaland and Martin Ødegaard.
6ft 6in Ajer joined Scottish outfit Celtic in 2016 from IK Start of the Norwegian Tippeligaen, and had regularly been linked with a move away as he impressed during three consecutive title wins.
Sky Sports report that Ajer’s medical with the Bees has now been completed, with only final details to be ironed out, making him Brentford’s second signing of the summer after Frank Onyeka joined from Danish side Midtjylland.
