Raphaël Varane appears to be just days away from being named a Manchester United player, with the Premier League club discussing final details with Real Madrid ahead of a £42.7 million move.
Four-time Champions League-winning centre back Varane was set to enter the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu, but after expressing his desire for a new challenge, United have convinced him that Old Trafford is the right place to do so.
The Guardian reports that the £42.7 million deal will be four years in length, with the World Cup-winning Frenchman becoming the club’s third signing of the summer after Tom Heaton and Jadon Sancho.
