Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho will miss England's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Poland due to a "minor knock".
The 21-year-old sustained the injury in training with the Three Lions earlier in the week, and was sidelined for Thursday's 4-0 win over Hungary.
Sancho has now returned to Old Trafford for treatment leaving England manager Gareth Southgate with a 23-man squad to select from.
An England statement said Sancho was "expected to recover in time" to play for the Red Devils against Newcastle on Saturday, 11 September, a game in which Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to feature for the first time since he rejoined United.
Former Borussia Dortmund starlet Sancho has notched three goals in 22 appearances for England.
The Three Lions host Andorra on Sunday (17:00 BST) before they take a trip to Poland for their final qualifier of this international break on Wednesday (19:45 BST).
