Spurs fell 3-0 victims to a buoyant Crystal Palace at Selhurst, after Japhet Tanganga saw red and goals from Wilfied Zaha and a debut brace, including a goal inside 27 seconds, for Odsonne Edouard slashed Tottenham's perfect start to the season.

With Son Hueng-Min, Tottenham's top-scorer so far this season and main-man, out injured, another win today at Selhurst was going to be a tough ask for a relatively inexperienced Spurs squad, with the likes of Joe Rodon and Oliver Skipp returning to the squad.

In a first half which saw few chances for either side, it was the home side who looked on top, with the Spurs failing to register a single shot on target throughout the first 45. Zaha tested Hugo Lloris in the Tottenham goal with a well driven shot to the near post in a half which saw chances few and far between for both sides.

The second half was quite the different story however and the game was turned on its head in the 58th minute when centre-half Tanganga was sent off for a second bookable offence after a challenge on Jordan Ayew, meaning Spurs had now lost both of the centre-halves that they started the afternoon with, following Eric Dier's first half injury.

Palace were quick to take advantage of the extra man, as Zaha notched a penalty following a handball from substitute Ben Davies. Things went from bad to worse from Spurs just ten minutes later as Palace's new signing from Celtic Odsonne Edouard tapped in after just 27 seconds to send the Palace fans wild. It got even better in injury time as Edouard tapped in from close range to complete his brace and rub salt further into Spurs' wounds, on what was a remarkable debut for the Frenchman.

Palace travel to Anfield to face Liverpool next Saturday (18th Sept) with Tottenham looking to bounce back in Europe as they take on Rennes away from home in the Europa Conference League on Thursday (16th Sept).
