There's never a dull week in the EFL, and this midweek round of games was no exception. Here, we looked at the dramatic moments from the 72 to see who's moving up to the promotion places and who is battling to avoid the drop.
Championship: Bournemouth continued their impressive unbeaten start to the season with a 1-0 win away Stoke thanks to Dominic Solanke's goal. But Fulham continue to chase with a win over Cardiff City (the visitors suffering their seventh defeat in a row in the league) - Aleksandar Mitrovic was among the goals yet again.
Elsewhere, Swansea City came from behind to surprise West Bromwich, handing the Baggies their third defeat in two games. Joël Piroe and Jamie Paterson got the goals for the Swans after Karlan Grant's opener. Fourth place Coventry City also suffered defeat - 2-1 away to Preston North End. The visitors had gone ahead thanks to Tyler Walker, but two goals in the space of eight minutes gave PNE the three points.
That wasn't the most dramatic comeback in the Championship - not by a long shot. Nottingham Forest were 1-0 down against Bristol City at Ashton Gate with 90 minutes gone. Step up substitute Lyle Taylor, who scored an equalising penalty in the first minute of stoppage time. It looked like Taylor had rescued a point for Nottingham in front of their jubilant away fans. But just seconds after the restart, Taylor had the ball in the net again: cue pandemonium in the stands as Forest took all three points.
Meanwhile, Sunderland jumped up to second place with a 4-0 victory over Crewe Alexander - Ross Stewart with two of the goals that take his season total up to nine in the league. Burton Albion also moved into the playoff places after defeating struggling Fleetwood by a single goal scored by Thomas O'Connor.
Ipswich Town continue to either confuse or delight since the club's takeover. This time it was the latter, beating Portsmouth 4-0. Macauley Bonne opened the scoring, the Zimbabwe international is now up to double figures with 10 goals scored in the league.
Further down, Gillingham's 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers helped them stay clear of the relegation places.
League Two: Leyton Orient drew at home to league leaders Forest Green Rovers thanks to a 76th-minute equaliser from Ruel Sotiriou after Matty Stevens had opened the scoring.
Still, Forest Green stay four points ahead of Harrogate Town, who could only draw their match at home to Tranmere Rovers, while Swindon Town move up to third - level on points with Harrogate - after their victory away to Sutton United.
At the bottom of the table, Mansfield town climbed out of the relegation places with an impressive draw at home to fourth place Port Vale. George Lapslie's equaliser earned the Stags a point to put them ahead of Oldham Athletic and Carlisle United. Meanwhile, last place Scunthorpe United managed a draw away to Barrow AFC but are still bottom of League Two.
