Defender Max Kilman scored his first Premier League goal in Wolves' 2-1 win over Everton last night - to cap his remarkable rise from non-league football.
After starting out at Fulham's academy, the 6ft 5" defender played futsal for England whilst continuing to play the 11-a-side game. After leaving the Cottagers, Kilman enjoyed a spell in non-league playing for Marlow and Maidenhead United before securing a move to Molineux in 2018/19.
Flourishing this season under Wanderers' coach Bruno Lage, the 24-year-old soared to meet a Rayan Ait-Nouri corner last night to score his side's first against the Toffees, Mexican striker Raul Jiménez netting a second to earn a valuable three points, despite Alex Iwobi's consolation strike for Everton.
Kilman is one of three Wolves players to play every minute in the top flight this season, along with Conor Coady and José Sa, and if he continues to impress he may well enter Gareth Southgate's thinking in the near future...could he become the first player to represent England at both futsal and football?
