The most prestigious individual football award in the world has been whittled down to a shortlist of 11 finalists by FIFA, and Playmaker's here to give you a quick recap of the candidates and their key stats. The list of names in the hunt to win The Best FIFA football men's award was trimmed to a first XI yesterday - and it's certainly harder to pick a winner this season than it has been in some previous campaigns of yesteryear. Picking a winner is an unenviable task, with goals scored, trophies won, outstanding moments and consistent excellence all jostling for priority. The voting process is effectively split into four: with media representatives, national team coaches, national team captains and the general public all with a say; each group responsible for 25% of the vote. To help you get your heads round the runners and riders, here's a slideshow of the eleven players in with a shout, along with a brief summary of their statistics and numbers between 8 October 2020 and 6 August 2021, the eligible dates as set down by FIFA.
