Scotland and Wales could potentially face each other in an all-or-nothing play-off final in Cardiff for a spot at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
At the play-off draw today, Steve Clarke's Scots learned that they will host Ukraine in their play-off semi-final, while Wales will take on Austria at home.
If both Home Nations win their respective semis, Scotland and Wales will pit their wits in a play-off final in Cardiff, with the winner booking their place at next year's World Cup finals.
Robert Page's Wales are looking to reach their first World Cup in 64 years, while Scotland have not appeared at one for 24 years themselves.
Other semi-finals include Italy against North Macedonia and Portugal versus Turkey, and the draw means either the current Euro champions or Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal will not feature at the World Cup, as the winners of their semis will meet in a final.
The semi-finals and finals, both played over one leg, will take place over the course of five days from 24-29 March.
